We all know about hidden wall beds and transforming furniture, but what happens when you combine
the two? By day these space-saving hideaway beds are subtle, tucking back into walls and leaving simple shelves and sofas behind to make their presence all the more invisible. By night they are full-fledged bedroom furniture – often still including storage space and other functions.
Some of these BonBon all-in-one bed designs are incredibly crafty, requiring multiple operational moves to convert them from one position to another – but, as a result, they look completely natural in either configuration.
Others are easier to operate and simply take over the space of the sofa by folding down a bed on top of it – leaving a little room on the side to put things at night.
Still others are fully integrated into their surrounds to the point that you would never guess that there is a bed (or couch) lurking on the other side of the surrounding cabinetry.
The ‘bed’ and ‘sofa’ modes are also not necessarily binary – some of the coolest combinations involve various in-between modes for relaxing, reading and general lounging.
One of the best bedroom ideas from the bunch by far is this clever convertible desk-and-bed combination. No one would ever guess that the desk, tucked against the wall, can collapse simply and easily and disappear as the hidden loft bed drops down from a bove.
