Corners are some of the most notoriously difficult spaces to design around in any home, which is why
they are a perfect space for storing things on shelves. Still, few corner shelving systems are as custom-designed to their location as this creative hanging shelf system by William Feeney. In fact, they would look entirely out of place were they not installed in corners.
Wrapping from one wall to the other, this singular-looking wood object makes a shelf at each turn before continuing up the opposite vertical. Effectively, it visually connects the two intersecting wall planes while creating functional storage space – a kind of twisted floating bookcase. While available in custom sizes and colors this is not cheap to buy – but it might inspire some great do-it-yourself home shelving projects.
